Dr Julia Terry

Julia is Interim Chair of the Wales and Africa Health Links Network. She works as an Associate Professor in the School of Health and Social Care, which is in the Faculty of Medicine, Health and Life Science at Swansea University.

 

She is a mental health nurse, has a PhD in Health Science, along with extensive experience in public and patient involvement.

 

Julia works with Deaf communities to improve healthcare policy and practice to reduce health inequalities that Deaf people experience. Currently Julia is working on funded research to find out more about what helps support hearing parents with deaf children in Wales, and developing an eLearning Deaf awareness programme with colleagues. She is Vice Chair of the Wales and Africa Health Links Network.
